Where the data sits, legally.
A data centre in Italy is not enough: what counts is which law applies and who can compel the supplier to hand data over. Ask for three names — the infrastructure owner, the service operator, and who controls the operator — and ask before you sign.

Who can switch off what.
If the supplier withdraws access tomorrow morning, what stops working? A tool meant to close a fault cannot depend on the link you are repairing.

What it costs to change.
The question before signing is not how good the system is, but what it costs to replace it. Open output formats and documentation delivered together with the work are the verifiable answer.

Who answers, and with what evidence.
Logs retained and readable, use limits listed, no unilateral change of terms. Clauses become verifiable when the infrastructure is under the control of the party accountable for it.
